Community Outreach Events
We bring our workshops, demos, and seminars to schools, STEAM fairs, festivals, and community events, engaging K-12 students and the greater community in hands-on biology experiences.
Our 2025 collaborations included Federal Way STEAM Night, Madrona K-8, Big Picture School, Georgetown STEAM Plant, AgroForestry Northwest, Goldenbrick Events, Seattle Science Lab, South Shore K-8, Wedgwood Elementary, John Rogers Elementary, and the U District Street Fair. We look forward to continuing many of these partnerships in 2026, and expanding to even more schools and community events!
Are you interested in having SoundBio Lab at your school’s science night? Or maybe a private workshop at our lab space for you and your friends or colleagues? Let us know!

Big Picture school seminars 1/26, 2/9, 3/9, 3/16
We held a series of hour-long independent learning sessions at the Big Picture School in Burien, covering topics such as lab safety fundamentals, marine science, and air pollution. Classes were comprised of middle & high school students. Here, Lucian is teaching a session on fish dissection.
