Board Service at SoundBio Lab
SoundBio Lab is a small, mostly volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to making a space for everyone to create, dream, and explore with science. Learn more about our mission here.
Our Board of Directors is a working board. Board members help guide the organization while also contributing volunteer time to support programs, lab operations, fundraising, volunteer coordination, and organizational systems.
Right now, we’re actively recruiting for two areas of our Board:
Volunteer Committee: Help us grow and strengthen our volunteer programs, including how we recruit, engage, and support volunteers.
Lab & Research Committee: Help develop in-lab mentorship opportunities, build scientific partnerships and collaborations, and create new ways to make hands-on science more accessible and impactful.

Board service is a volunteer role. To serve effectively, Board members should live in the Puget Sound area or spend part of the year here.
