In this hands-on workshop, we’ll:

• Explore the benefits and limitations of laboratory automation

• Discuss what the Opentrons Flex components do and how they’re used in the lab

• Use Protocol Designer to build and run a simulated minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) assay, automating a process we perform manually in our DIY Antibacterial workshop

Each participant needs to bring a laptop for the hands-on portion of this workshop. Protocol Designer does not work with smartphones.

No prior experience with laboratory automation, programming, or MIC assays required. Be prepared to spend 45-60 minutes looking at a screen. Beginners welcome!
