08.13.26 - SoundBio Spotlight
📍Rita Koontz Community Space: 1121 NE 45th St, Ste 100. 🗓️ Thursday 8/13, 6:00-7:00 pm.
Welcome to our first SoundBio Spotlight, a seminar series where SoundBio members can showcase their ongoing projects and their experiences within the lab. For this session, we’ll explore how bioluminescent organisms can be used as a natural biotechnology for environmental monitoring, and how we’re working toward creating a toolkit that makes it possible for communities to conduct their own experiments.
No prior experience in biology or biotechnology is required! Whether you’re curious about bioluminescent organisms, interested in environmental science, or simply want to learn about what’s happening at SoundBio, this event is open to everyone. Come learn, ask questions, and explore the possibilities of community-driven science.
Refreshments provided. Free and open to the public! Funded in part by a Public Participation Grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology.
