Our world is littered with microbial life, and this is especially true for soil. From the phytoplankton in the oceans to the bacteria in your gut to the mycorrhizae that form connections between plants in a forest, it is not an overstatement to say that we wouldn’t be alive without them.
In this FREE, 3-hour workshop, you will learn about microbial taxonomy, sequencing technology, and bioinformatics. We will also discuss how we can learn about soil health from the microbial communities living in soil.
This session is Wednesday, June 24, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.
YOU WILL
Read DNA sequence files
Understand cutting-edge sequencing technology
Explore the microbial Tree of Life
Learn what microbes can improve soil quality
