SoundBio Lab has partnered with Shoreline Community College (SCC) to introduce a 5-week course that offers students an exciting introduction to biomanufacturing, imparting essential knowledge and skills to help them compete in this emerging job market.
Sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings from July 7 to August 4, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m., with an additional tour of Shoreline Community College’s Biomanufacturing facilities on June 30, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and a career panel on August 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m, at the Rita Koontz Community Space (1121 NE 45th St, Ste 100, Seattle, WA 98105).
YOU WILL
Culture genetically-modified bacterial factories.
Verify DNA construct design using PCR and gel electrophoresis.
Purify protein using both lab-scale and industry-scale techniques.
Gain insight from biomanufacturing professionals and Shoreline Community College alumni.
